Students partner up for learning

Every year, 4th-grade and kindergarten students buddy up: They meet every two weeks to read together, create crafts, show and tell, go to the park, make sidewalk chalk art, and much more!

Mrs. Dye and Mrs. Jacob’s students have been participating in this fun tradition for four years. Reading Buddies promotes leadership skills in the 4th-grade students and increases social skills for the kindergarten students. Our youngest learners can find it challenging to interact with older peers, as many are navigating the school environment for the first time.

This is an exciting opportunity for our young learners to meet with their older buddies and can be the highlight of their entire week!
