Exploring farm life through hands-on learning

Kindergarteners at Maize Elementary School have been exploring farm life through fun, hands-on learning experiences. Students are discovering more about animals, crops, and the important role farmers play in our communities.

A recent highlight was meeting three friendly pigs — Olivia, Araya, and Scooter. Students asked great questions about how the pigs are cared for and were amazed when Olivia painted a picture with her snout!

The activity sparked curiosity and helped students make real-world connections to what they’re learning in the classroom — all while having a little farmyard fun.
